Bac Ha Market is held every Sunday and is the biggest minority peoples market in Northwest Vietnam. Alive with the bright colours and extravagant costumes of the local people, here you will meet Flower Hmong (Red Hmong), Black Dao, Tay, Nung, La Chi, Phu La and other minority groups who come from far and wide to buy and sell a wide variety of goods and livestock, to exchange news and to renew friendships. In the past the market was a centre for trading horses but now that motorbikes have replaced them it is more common to see buffalo, cows, goats, fish and other livestock being traded. The market opens at around 7.30am and closes mid-afternoon, so an early start is advisable.

The market offer a cultural experience quite unlike any other. As well as seeing the amazing skill which goes into the traditional craftwork on sale, you will meet the people who made it. The joy of the marketplace is the rich cultural diversity, with people from all of the different ethnic minority groups gathering to buy, sell, barter and socialise. This tour will take you from Hanoi to visit two of the best markets in the north-east region of Vietnam.

You will also have the opportunity of visiting Ta Van village home of the Black Hmong staying at a unique homestay.

And also visiting both Cat Cat and Sin Chai villages

This tour will give you an in-depth look into the unique culture, traditions in the North of Vietnam, while view its breath taking scenery

Cancellation Policy

The following policies shall apply to all kind of service cancellations if you cancel your tour at a later stage:

Above 15 days 100% refund of total costs deposit.
15-7 days 75% refund of total costs deposit.
7-3 days 50% refund of total costs deposit.
3 days or less is non-refundable.

The above penalties apply when the entire booking is cancelled and apply to all services including tour, transportation and accommodation arrangements. Cancellation of luxury cruise tours might charge 100% of total cost.

Refund Policy

f the refund has been approved, then it will take place through PayPal or by cash in our office. Final refunds can be settled directly in our office in Hanoi or with a maximum of 4 working days.

If you do not receive the reply within five business day, please call the office immediately. We will not be responsible if email, mail or fax fail to reach us.
Refund by PayPal may incur additional costs such as currency and transactions fees, the client is liable for any costs incurred
Refund by credit cards is not possible
Refund by bank transfer is only possible if the payment has also been made by bank transfer
Refund via website adventureindochina.com is possible, if the booking is booked directly via the website and only the amount that was booked via our official website.

Confirmation Policy

The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking
In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email.
Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking and a full refund will be processed.

Tour itinerary

Day 1: Hanoi-take Night Sleeping Bus To Sapa (N/A)

21:00-21:30 a transfer bus will pick you up at your hotel in old quarter and take you to bus office,

22:00 we will take sleeping bus to Sapa,overnight on the bus.

Day 2: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B/L/D)

Your bus will arrive in Sapa at approximately 4.30 am

You may sleep on the bus until 6am, after which you will be taken to our partner hotel for a shower and breakfast.

Relax for a while.

You can leave your main luggage in the luggage storage room at our partner’s hotel

Taking an overnight toiletries bag with you for your trek.

We will then begin our 12km trek on some small trails down the Muong Hoa valley towards the Black Hmong village of Y Linh Ho, which is the most scenic trail to our next stop the village of Lao Chai

You will have picnic lunch at the Black Hmong Village of Lao Chai, rest a while

We continue to trek to the Dzay village of Ta Van, where your homestay is located.

On arrival at your homestay you will have a snack, relax for a while.

Shower, dinner that night at the homestay, and get to know your fellow travellers better that evening, sleeping at the home stay.

Day 3: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan - Sapa (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the home stay in Ta Van.

Say goodbye to your homestay, then begin your trek through the Sung Toi through the Bamboo forest.

After which you will reach the Dzao village of Giang Ta Chai, passing by it beautiful waterfall.

Continue further to Su Pan, here you can take in the scenery while having a picnic lunch

After lunch you will be transported back to Sapa by minivan,

Free time to enjoy Sapa town.

Overnight at your hotel in Sapa.

Day 4: Bac Ha Market (on Sunday Only) (B/L/D)

Breakfast at your hotel ,check out in preparation for your visit to Bac Ha market.

Located at 110km from Sapa, Bac Ha mountain town is well-known by travelers. With the most colorful market of the hill tribes in the North of Vietnam.

This every-Sunday-market attended by at least 8 ethnic groups and last from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. It is also chance for tourists to discover the H’mong King’s palace (old building built by the French & Chinese).

In the afternoon, we go for a light trek to visit Ban Pho, the village is home to flower H’mong minority. We are invited to enter several local houses to have some green tea, corn wine, listen to the host talking about their family, talk to them... and then enjoy landscapes on a roundabout way to Bac Ha for get back to Sapa 17:00 ,we are free until 21:00 to take sleeping bus back to Hanoi,overnight on the bus

We will arrive back in Hanoi old quarter around 4:30am,

With this hot weather in Vietnam, I recommend everyone go to Sapa. Because Sapa has cool weather, we can feel more pleasant than in Hanoi. I went to Sapa last week and booked with Adventure Indochina Travel. They were so friendly and helpful, gave me the best options base on my requirement. The services here was really great, also my trip in Sapa was amazing. In my opinion, I think 1 night at hotel and 1 night at homestay is the best one! 5 star!!!
