If you ask me which country has beaches so beautiful you’d want to stay forever, my answer is Vietnam.
With more than 3,400 km of coastline hugging the East Sea and pleasant weather almost year-round, Vietnam is a treasure trove of powdery white sands, turquoise waters, hidden coves, and tropical islands. It’s a place where you can find every kind of beach — lively and full of activities, peaceful and untouched, perfect for surfing or simply lying back and soaking up the sun.
What I love about Vietnam’s beaches isn’t just the scenery — it’s how effortlessly they make travelers feel at home. 🏨 You can choose from luxurious seaside resorts, charming boutique hotels, or cozy homestays. And the food? Absolutely unforgettable. Fresh seafood, mouthwatering Vietnamese dishes, all enjoyed with the sound of waves as your soundtrack.
Here are some of my favorite beach destinations in Vietnam:
Cua Dai Beach – Hoi An’s White Pearl 🐚
Just minutes away from the ancient town of Hoi An, Cua Dai Beach stretches out with soft, white sand and crystal-clear water. On the horizon, Cham Island awaits — a perfect day trip by boat. Along the shore, small seafood restaurants serve fresh catches in a relaxed, authentic atmosphere.
Nha Trang – The Scuba Diving Capital 🤿
Located on the south-central coast, Nha Trang is famous for its vibrant marine life. Hop on a boat to explore nearby islands, each offering its own slice of paradise for snorkeling and scuba diving.
Mui Ne – Golden Sands & Ocean Breeze 🏄♂️
Just a few hours from Ho Chi Minh City, Mui Ne welcomes you with golden beaches, rows of swaying coconut palms, and impressive sand dunes. It’s a hotspot for water sports like kite surfing, sailing, or simply swimming in the warm sea.
Phu Quoc – The Emerald Island 🌴
Off Vietnam’s southwest coast, Phu Quoc is a dream with lush forests, powdery white sands, and crystal-clear emerald waters. You can dive to see coral reefs, go fishing, or rent a scooter to discover hidden beaches far from the crowds.
Doc Let – A Peaceful Escape 🌊
About 45 km north of Nha Trang, Doc Let offers a quieter alternative to busier beaches. Its soft sand, calm waters, and fresh air make it perfect for unwinding and recharging.
Halong Bay – More Than Limestone Karsts 🛶
Famous for its dramatic limestone cliffs, Halong Bay also hides charming beaches. Bai Chay Beach, with white sand and shady pine trees, is a lovely spot to spend a sunny afternoon.
☀️ Final thought: Vietnam’s beaches are not only beautiful but endlessly diverse — you could spend a whole year exploring and still find new treasures. If you love sun, sand, and the soothing sound of waves, let Vietnam be your next destination… and maybe you’ll find your own “dream beach” here.
