Securing a visa is a straightforward process, and with a bit of preparation, you’ll be ready to explore the Kingdom of Wonder in no time. If you’re unsure about the requirements, a reliable Cambodia travel agency like VietNam Indochina can guide you through every step.
Visa on Arrival
Cambodia offers visa on arrival for most nationalities at major entry points including:
- Phnom Penh International Airport
- Siem Reap International Airport (ideal for visiting Angkor Wat)
At the border, you’ll need:
- A passport valid for at least 6 months
- One passport-sized photo
- A photocopy of your passport
- A visa fee, payable in cash (USD recommended)
For those on a Cambodia-Vietnam tour, you can also get a visa at key land border crossings such as:
- Moc Bai – Bavet (Vietnam)
- Aranyaprathet – Poipet (Thailand)
- Trat – Koh Kong (Thailand)
- Dong Kralor – Veun Kham (Laos)
E-Visa (Electronic Visa)
For added convenience, Cambodia now offers e-visas, which you can apply for online before your trip. Simply complete the form, pay with a credit card, and receive your visa within approximately three business days.
- Print two copies of the e-visa (one for entry, one for exit)
- Valid for 30 days and single entry
- Slightly higher cost than visa on arrival, but no queues!
Visa Validity & Extension
- Tourist visas are valid for 3 months from the date of issue (not entry) and allow for 30 days of stay
- You can extend once for an additional 30 days by visiting the Immigration Office at Phnom Penh Airport, or using a licensed visa agent
