Depart from Hanoi early in the morning by comfortable bus. Arrive at Bac Ha Market around midday, one of the most colorful and lively markets in northern Vietnam. This market is open only on Sundays and is a gathering spot for various ethnic minority groups such as the Flower H’mong, Tay, and Phu La. Here, you’ll witness their unique traditional clothing, crafts, fresh produce, livestock, and vibrant local life.
After exploring the market, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before heading to Ban Pho Village, home of the Flower H’mong people. Visit local houses, sip green tea or corn wine, and listen to stories about their customs, daily life, and family traditions. The experience offers a rare insight into the lives of highland communities.
Later in the afternoon, continue your scenic drive to Sapa. Check in to your hotel and enjoy some free time to rest or explore the charming Sapa town on your own.
After breakfast, begin a soft trek through the stunning Muong Hoa Valley. Walk along mountain trails to Y Linh Ho Village, inhabited by the Black H’mong people. Continue trekking through spectacular terraced rice fields and bamboo forests to Lao Chai Village, where you’ll stop for a simple yet delicious local lunch.
After lunch, resume your trek to Ta Van Village, home of the Dzay ethnic minority. Enjoy the peaceful countryside views, meet local families, and observe daily life in the mountains.
In the early afternoon, return to the main road and drive back to Sapa town. You’ll have free time to explore the Sapa Market or relax before boarding the bus back to Hanoi.
