In the afternoon, we continue the road to Ayutthaya. The ancient city of Ayutthaya is known as the ‘Venice of the East’ because it is found along the Chao Phraya, the tributaries that surround the province of Ayutthaya River. Many monuments and remains of the period can be visited in this city founded in 1350 by King Uthong when the Thai had to migrate to the South under pressure from their neighbours to the North.
