Depending on the day of the week, your tour guide will select the most suitable market for your schedule:

  • Saturday: Visit the Can Cau Market, a colorful tapestry of the Flower Hmong people, located near the Chinese border.

  • Sunday: Head to the bustling Bac Ha Market, Muong Hum, or Muong Khuong Markets, where locals from multiple ethnic minorities gather for trade and festivity.

  • Tuesday: Explore the Coc Ly Market, perched on a hill beside the Chay River.

  • Wednesday: Wander through Cao Son Market, with stunning views of the surrounding mountains.

  • Thursday: Discover Lung Khau Nhin Market, one of the smallest but most authentic, often overlooked by tourists.

Whichever market you attend, you’ll be immersed in the sights, sounds, and colors of hill tribe culture. See locals dressed in traditional costumes, selling livestock, handmade crafts, textiles, and produce. Witness social interactions as people gather not just to trade but to socialize, share meals, drink local corn wine, and perhaps even seek love—a long-standing tradition in these communities.

Afternoon – After exploring the market, begin the drive back to Hanoi. Take this time to relax, reflect on your highland adventures, and enjoy the changing scenery as you return to the capital.

Evening – Arrive in Hanoi and check in to your hotel. Spend the evening at leisure or take a final stroll around the Old Quarter, soaking in the city’s charm by night.

Early Morning – Arrive at Hanoi Railway Station and be greeted by your guide. You’ll be transferred to a mini-hotel where you can freshen up and enjoy breakfast before setting off on today’s journey.

08:00 – Depart from your hotel and begin a 2-hour scenic drive through the countryside of northern Vietnam toward Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital during the 10th and 11th centuries.

Hoa Lu Ancient Capital – Explore the historic remains of what was once a grand citadel. Visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang (Dinh Dynasty, 968–980) and Emperor Le Dai Hanh (Le Dynasty, 980–1009). Though most of the original citadel is long gone, the remaining temples and stories echo the grandeur of Vietnam’s first imperial seat.

Continue to Tam Coc – Journey through a breathtaking landscape of limestone karsts rising dramatically from lush rice fields. Stop along the way at particularly scenic spots for photos.

Lunch – Upon arrival in Tam Coc, enjoy a delicious Vietnamese lunch featuring local specialties.

Afternoon Sampan Cruise – Board your private sampan for a 2.5-hour boat ride along the Ngo Dong River. As your boat glides silently through the water, soak in the serenity of the landscape—towering karsts, quiet rice fields, and caves carved by centuries of wind and water. This peaceful boat trip is often described as “Halong Bay on land.”

Cultural Walk or Visit – After the cruise:

  • Take a leisurely walk through rice fields to the picturesque Thai Vi Temple, nestled in tranquil surroundings.

  • Or opt to drive to Bich Dong Pagoda, a beautiful three-tiered pagoda built into Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating back to 1428. Climb the stone steps and admire the peaceful setting, caves, and panoramic views from the upper levels.

Evening – Check in at your hotel in Ninh Binh and enjoy your evening at leisure.

08:00 – After breakfast, depart your hotel for a 3.5-hour scenic drive (170 km) through the heart of the Red River Delta. This journey offers countless photo opportunities—watch as local farmers tend vast emerald-green rice paddies with traditional tools, water buffaloes, and wide-brimmed conical hats dotting the horizon.

Midway Stop – Take a break to visit a local handicraft workshop. Browse exquisite handmade items including embroidered artwork, stone sculptures, and a collection of Vietnamese gemstones like star rubies and sapphires, mined and cut locally.

11:30 – 12:00 – Arrive at Halong Bay, Vietnam’s most iconic UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its mystical seascape of limestone karsts, emerald waters, and thousands of dramatic islands and islets.

Board the Luxury Junk – You’ll be warmly welcomed on board your elegant junk cruise with a refreshing drink and a delicious seafood lunch featuring local specialties.

As the cruise begins its gentle glide into the breathtaking serenity of Halong Bay, you’ll pass countless towering cliffs and floating isles. Relax on deck, soak in the sun, or capture stunning photographs as you sail through one of the world’s most otherworldly natural wonders.

Afternoon Activities:

  • Explore Sung Sot (Surprise) Cave, the most magnificent and spacious grotto in the bay, known for its incredible formations of stalactites and stalagmites.

  • Visit Ti Top Island – hike to the top for panoramic views or unwind on its white sand beach for a swim in the bay’s emerald waters.

Evening – As the sun sets behind the karsts, the junk anchors in a quiet, sheltered cove. Enjoy a romantic dinner on board under a starlit sky, followed by optional activities like squid fishing or simply relaxing with a drink on the deck.

Morning in the Bay
Awaken to the peaceful sounds of water lapping against your junk as the sun peeks over the limestone cliffs. After breakfast on board, you’ll board a sampan (small wooden boat) for a tranquil exploration of a hidden lagoon, surrounded by limestone mountains just beginning to stir in the early light—an intimate and magical moment in nature.

Continue the Cruise
Re-board the junk to cruise deeper into Bai Tu Long Bay, a lesser-known extension of Halong Bay that offers a quieter and equally stunning seascape. You’ll pass by distinctive islets named for their shapes, including:

  • Human Head Island

  • Turtle Island

  • Duck Islet

You’ll also see the filming location for the movie Indochine, adding a cinematic dimension to your scenic journey.

11:30 – 12:00 – The junk begins its gentle return to the harbor. Savor one last look at the emerald waters and karst formations before disembarking.

Drive Back to Hanoi
Your driver will meet you at the pier for the return journey to Hanoi, with an optional stop en route to stretch your legs or purchase local handicrafts.

Late Afternoon / Early Evening – Arrive back in Hanoi, where you’ll check in to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure—perhaps stroll around Hoan Kiem Lake, dine at a local restaurant, or simply relax in preparation for the final leg of your Vietnam journey.

* What about Cancellation policy?
In case of cancellation, we will not impose any charges if we are not being charged and possible to get refund from our suppliers but if our suppliers apply charges for cancellation, you will have to pay those charges that apply. Cancellation policies vary, depending upon the type of service, the time of year, and the reason for cancellation. We will pass on to you all details of any cancellation policy with our transparent reply upon demand.

– 3 star hotels, no charge if you cancel 5 -7 days before your arrival. (FIT)
