✈️ Getting to Da Lat

By Air:
Direct flights to Lien Khuong Airport are available from Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. Airfare typically ranges from 900,000 – 1,600,000 VND, with flight times between 50 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes.

  • From the airport, you can take a bus (50,000 VND) or taxi (approx. 300,000 VND) into the city center. Airport buses run frequently and drop off at Le Thi Hong Gam Street, right near Da Lat Market.

By Bus:
Several operators, like Phuong Trang and Thanh Buoi, offer frequent sleeper bus services between Ho Chi Minh City and Da Lat. Ticket prices range from 230,000 to 300,000 VND.

By Limousine:
For a more comfortable ride, opt for Minh Tri Limousine with 9-seat VIP massage chairs and plush interiors. Fares range from 180,000 to 300,000 VND.


🗺️ Must-Visit Attractions in Da Lat

1. Da Lat Market & Am Phu Night Market

Your Da Lat adventure should begin at its vibrant central markets. Browse for second-hand winter clothes, sample local jams, mulberry juice, and artichoke tea, or shop for handmade souvenirs.

2. Xuan Huong Lake

Located in the heart of the city, this crescent-shaped lake is a symbol of Da Lat. Ideal during sunrise or sunset, visitors can enjoy duck pedal boats, motorboat rides, or simply stroll the pine-lined shores.

3. Bao Dai’s Palace (Palace III)

A beautiful mansion set atop a 1,539-meter hill, this palace offers a glimpse into the lavish lifestyle of Vietnam’s last emperor, Bao Dai. Located just 2.5 km south of the city center.

4. Da Lat Railway Station

Famous for its charming French-colonial architecture, Da Lat Station (1 Quang Trung Street) is a popular photo spot. A short train ride takes you to Trai Mat, home to Linh Phuoc Pagoda.

5. Dalat Flower Gardens

Just 2 km from the city center, this garden bursts with color year-round. It’s a floral paradise perfect for photography enthusiasts.

6. Da Lat Cathedral (Chicken Church)

One of the city’s most iconic structures, its nickname comes from the rooster statue atop the bell tower. A stunning example of French architecture.

7. Highland Biology Institute

Set atop Tung Lam Hill, this site doubles as a botanical garden and natural history museum. Located about 10 km from downtown, it’s a serene escape surrounded by nature.

8. Domaine de Marie Church (Mai Anh Church)

Built in the 17th-century French style, this pink-hued church blends European design with Central Highlands ethnic motifs. Only 1 km from the center.

9. Da Lat Pedagogical College

Recognized by the World Association of Architects as one of the most unique 20th-century buildings. Its arc-shaped structure and bell tower make it an architectural gem.

10. Trai Mat & Linh Phuoc Pagoda

A must-visit for its mosaic artworks and quirky 12,000 beer bottle dragon statue. The area also offers markets and scenic views.

11. Langbiang Mountain

Located 12 km north of Da Lat, you can either hike or take a jeep (50,000 VND/person) to the summit. Enjoy panoramic views and grilled specialties at the top.

12. Cu Lan Village

Tucked beneath Langbiang Mountain, this secluded village surrounded by primeval forest offers a peaceful retreat and picturesque scenery—perfect for couples and families.

13. Tuyen Lam Lake

5 km south of Da Lat, this tranquil lake is ideal for boating (200,000 VND round trip), picnicking, or hammock-napping (7,000 VND/hour) under pine trees. It’s also a top “Instagrammable” location.

14. Prenn Waterfall

Located at the foot of Prenn Pass, about 10 km from the city. The lush landscape and gushing waterfall are accompanied by unique dining options, such as snakehead fish porridge (from 160,000 VND for 4 people).


🍽️ Food You Can’t Miss

While in Da Lat, be sure to try:

  • Hot soy milk and grilled rice paper (“Vietnamese pizza”) at the night market
  • Banh Can (mini pancakes) with meatballs and dipping sauce
  • Nem nướng (grilled pork rolls) and avocado ice cream
  • Grilled corn and sweet potatoes sold by street vendors during the cool evenings
